Today is a special day that is set aside to show the appreciation to all the men out there who are fathers or has taken on the role of being a father.  This day is for you.

The father is one that is the protector, wage earner, and the one that makes sure that everything is alright within his household.  A father's work is never done - whether it's punching in on the clock at work or checking the security of his home while his family is asleep.  Today is your day.

A father comes in many forms, such as, a biological father, step-father, father-in-law (yes him,too), grandfather,uncle, or family friend.  It does not matter the form, they all have the same common purpose - Take care of the family!  This is a long-lasting responsibility that a father has to be committed to embracing.

Sometimes, a father can get so caught up in his responsibilities, that he truly forget what today really is.  It is not uncommon for his wife or children to remind him about this special day.  A father does not look to be recognized for something that he feels is his duty.  He does not care about all the accolades that comes with this special day.  He feels that if he is blessed to see the smiling faces of his family, that is a present within itself.

A father is usually in charge of the financial planning of his family with assistance from his lovely wife.  And because the father is usually the primary breadwinner, he has to make sure his family is provided for in the financial sense, just in case he is not around to care for them.
